SHOVEL

New version with a high-modulus, highly reactive polypropylene blade and a new design with decreasing thickness (from 4 mm to 2 mm) and a new distribution of reinforcements, which makes the bending very progressive, eliminating the tendency to skid , since the first half of the assembly is more rigid and the final half more flexible.

Blade with a 29º angle, compared to the traditional 21 to 23º. This angle allows for kicking with the foot in a completely relaxed position and makes kicking soft and comfortable but highly effective both for surface movement and for overcoming situations of great resistance to progress such as ascending from the bottom, rough seas or the beginning of a descent with adjusted ballast.

The design of the blade tip has a slight taper and two integrated fins made of thin thermoplastic rubber. This feature, combined with the calculated progression of the blade's bending arc, makes Impulse's flutter stability perfect.

FOOT POCKET

New design of the foot pocket horns with reduced height in order to allow the adaptation of blades of any angle, not interfere with the reactivity of the blade and allow a greater arc to the blade.

Foot pocket volume resulting from in-depth anatomical studies, with volumes proportional to the widening effect caused by the bootie depending on the size of the foot, does not follow a fixed size-to-size proportion since proportionally a small foot “fattens” much more than a large one when booties are put on.

Combines two materials:

A thermoplastic rubber with a hardness of 75º shore, flexible but inelastic and very resistant applied to the ribs, the entire sole of the foot pocket and the exclusive support band on the instep designed to ensure that the transmission of the effort is immediate without dissipating into rubbery compositions.

The rest of the foot pocket (grey area) has a semi-flexible 65º shore composition for optimal comfort. This material extends alternately in the heel area to perform a non-slip function when walking in a boat or on rocks.

The instep incorporates a 2 cm wide “self-adjusting” band in its centre, which allows for slight expansion (from 2 to 4 mm depending on the size) to adapt to people with high insteps or in the case of wearing thick booties. The expansion has been carefully calibrated so as not to affect the transmission of energy.
